The green future of German viticulture

10:00

ROMANA ECHENSPERGER MW

In this seminar we want to discuss the environmental, business and social challenges German winegrowers face today.
We want to show which solutions certified sustainable, organic and biodynamic wineries are pursuing, what they can learn
from each other and how the change tastes concretely on the basis of 12 selected wines. We would like to show which ways and
opportunities there are to make the future of viticulture greener together.

The many faces of Riesling

11:00

LARS DANIËLS MV

From Sekt to Icewine and with all kinds of great dry and sweet wines in between, Riesling shows its vaste diversity and performs at the highest vinous level. Lars Daniëls, Magister Vini and Riesling Fellow, will present the huge diversity and great quality of one of the world’s most noble grape varieties.

Pinot Paradise Germany

13:00

ROMANA ECHENSPERGER MW

If all Burgundy varieties from Pinot Blanc to Auxerrois to Pinot Noir are taken together, then 30% of German vineyards are now
devoted to the Pinot family. Versatility in soil, climate, viticulture and cellar techniques provide an enormous variety of wine styles.
In this seminar we want to get to the bottom of the Pinot Paradise Germany. We will taste exciting sparkling wines, Signature Pinots
in white and red as well as trendy Rosés.

The terroir of Spätburgunder

14:00

LARS DANIËLS MV

Pinot noir aka Spätburgunder has a long tradition in Germany. It has become better and better, without losing its distinct characters. Those are mainly the result of the unique terroirs that grow this demanding grape variety. Let’s discover the origins of Spätburgunder a little more, by tasting some great examples and explaining what makes them special.
